Brays Beach

Turquoise waters, empty waves and zero phone reception…your holiday on island time!

Once you’ve checked-in, it’s time to get off the beaten path and discover your very own tropical oasis. Our top five secluded beaches are all within a 20 minute drive from our Belongil resort.

1. Brays Beach

One for the adventurous souls. The hike down to Bray’s Beach from the dusty carpark will produce Indiana Jones feels and a wild connection with nature. To get there, make the turn off for Broken Head and look out for signs for a right turn onto Seven Mile Road.

2. Whites Beach

Located just past Brays Beach and also part of the Broken Head Nature Reserve. Follow the winding dirt track through the rainforest jungle to end of the track. Soak up the sun on the white sandy beach or bask under the shade of the pandanus trees.

3. Seven Mile Beach

A long stretch of rugged coastline connecting Broken Head to Lennox Head. The ideal the place for a solo surf mission, a horseback trek or a spot of sea fishing. The area is also home to local attraction Chris Hemsworth who you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of enjoying his backyard.

4. Little Wategos

Australia’s most easterly beach, nestled between Wategos Beach and Cape Byron Lighthouse. This little nugget is the perfect sheltered hideaway spot from the crowds; ideal for sun baking and on calmer days, makes a mesmerising underwater playground for snorkelers.

5. Boulders Beach

As the name suggests this beach is covered in boulders, rather than sand. The top of Boulders Beach has a lush grassy hill made for sunset picnics and watching the waves roll in. Find this hidden gem just past Lennox Head along the scenic coastal road from Byron to Ballina.

Make these dreamy beachside escapades a reality and book your tropical escape now.
